History of Austin Texas Polo.

Polo has a long and storied history in Austin, Texas, dating back to the early 1900s. The first polo match in Austin was played in 1904, and the sport quickly gained popularity in the city.

The Austin Polo Club was founded in 1925, and it quickly became one of the most prominent polo clubs in the United States. The club hosted numerous tournaments and matches, drawing large crowds of spectators and attracting some of the best polo players in the world.

In the 1930s and 1940s, the Austin Polo Club experienced a period of decline, as many of its members were called away to serve in World War II. However, the sport continued to be played in Austin, and in the 1950s and 1960s, the Austin Polo Club was revived with the help of new members and a renewed interest in the sport.

Today, polo is still played in Austin, with the Austin Polo Club and the Central Texas Polo Association organizing matches and tournaments throughout the year. The sport has a dedicated following in the city, and it continues to attract new fans and players each year..
